BISKA: JATRA (बिस्का जात्रा)
The Grand Festival of BHAKTAPUR
The largest 9-day, 8-night celebration in Bhaktapur, Biska Jatra (also known as Bisket Jatra), is held in mid-April to celebrate the Nepali New Year. Massive chariot parades, traditional music, and colorful regional customs like the construction of a tall wooden pole (Yosin) in the Pottery Square neighborhood are all part of it.
Dates: The event takes place every year between Chaitra 27 and Baisakh 5 of the Nepali calendar, which is usually April 10–18. The main pole raisings and chariot pulls take place from April 13 to April 15.

Bhaktapur Entrance Ticket
The one-day Bhaktapur entrance ticket costs NPR 2,000 (US$15) for foreign visitors, NPR 500 for Chinese and SAARC nationalities, and is free for Nepalese natives. This ticket is available for purchase at the main heritage entry gates.
