The History of Shree Pancha Laxmi Mandir’s Construction
Achharya Basudev Kaundinya claims that Shree Akhanda Jyoti Baba Swami observed and visited numerous lovely laxmi temples in Nepal and India. He was searching for the ideal moment to create a laxmi temple in a fortunate location close to the Pasupatinath temple. On the last day of Pasupatinath Maha Yagya in 2057 B.S., Akhanda Baba Swami ji declared and pledged to build a Pancha Laxmi temple. Balaram and Dayalaxmi Katwal, two renowned Laxmi devotees from Shreewan Bhaktapur, said on the same day that they would donate four ropani plots of land to build the Shree Pancha Laxmi Temple. 10 years later, Shree Pancha Laxmi Temple was built on the site where two couples had donated land close to Devnadi.
